Product information

Emaux Soyer

A final finishing enamel that can be used to cover an enamelled piece of jewellery. It creates a clear glassy layer. However, it can also be used directly on metal, copper, silver or gold, as a transparent enamel, or as a base (fondant) under transparent enamels. For this enamel, the manufacturer recommends rinsing the colours. That means dripping water onto the powder and stirring gently. Then the milky, cloudy water is poured off. Rinsing once or twice is enough. A classic powder jewellery enamel, transparent. It is applied as a paste (enamel with a few drops of water depending on the amount) onto a metal base (copper or silver, ACS) and, once dry, fired in a kiln at 740°C for approx. two to three minutes, depending on the size of the sheet. It is a good idea to glance briefly into the kiln, and once the enamel powder has turned into a smooth surface, it is done. Before enamelling, take a look at basic guides and videos on working with enamels. It will make the work easier for you. Do not eat food or drink beverages while working with enamel.
