Thin and tall polycarbonate mould has characteristics that make it ideal for making candles. The mould is 250 mm in height, it’s lightweight, but at the same time robust and durable, and therefore it can be used repeatedly. To make candles in polycarbonate moulds, it’s only suitable to use wax for moulds, which has better shrinkage, therefore a candle can be taken out of the mould very easily after hardening. Polycarbonate moulds are not to be heated before pouring. To pull the wick through, it’s necessary to block the wick hole on the tip of the mould using a sticky tack or classic plasticine and stretch the wick on the other side using a centering holder.
