Thanks to its properties, the polycarbonate mould in the shape of an octagonal ball is ideal for making candles. The mould measures 75 x 68 mm; it is lightweight yet robust and durable, so it can be used repeatedly. Only wax for moulds is suitable for making candles from polycarbonate moulds, as it has greater shrinkage, so the candle can be very easily removed from the mould once set. Polycarbonate moulds should not be preheated before pouring. Once you have threaded the wick, the wick hole at the tip of the mould must be plugged with adhesive putty or ordinary modelling clay, and the wick tensioned on the other side using a centring holder.
