Reslin® eco-resin is the first resin made on a purely plant-based basis. It is made from linseed oil and a natural activator derived from sugar beet molasses and is 100% biodegradable in nature. It contains no toxic substances, is odourless, and can therefore be worked with bare hands, making it an ideal choice for home as well as professional use, even in the presence of children. It has a relatively short curing time and works well whether you're pouring bezel settings for components or silicone moulds and creating larger projects. It is suitable for making decorations, jewellery and functional objects. Preparation of Reslin resin as well as curing itself take place in the oven at temperatures up to 120 °C. A regular kitchen oven can be safely used for this. Never use a microwave oven when working with Reslin.
Without the use of dyes and powders, it has a natural colouring in golden to brown tones, but retains its translucency just like crystal resin. When decorating Reslin® resin, we recommend using dyes, powders and glitter designed specifically for this type of resin. For further decorating you may also find resin decorations useful, for example Jesmonite GlassRoxx glass stones. You can also decorate your creations with glass beads or various natural materials, such as seeds, petals, dried flowers and similar. However, when using natural materials, we always recommend testing their behaviour on a small sample first. More information and a simple guide for working with Reslin resin can be found in this article.
