Reslin® eco-resin 750 g is the first resin made on a purely plant basis. It is made from linseed oil and a natural activator from sugar beet molasses, and is 100% biodegradable in nature. It contains no toxic substances and is odourless, so it can be worked with bare hands, making it an ideal choice for home and professional use even in the presence of children. Working with this resin does not require protective equipment such as gloves or respirators. It is characterised by a relatively short curing time and works well whether pouring bezel settings for components or silicone moulds and creating larger projects. It is suitable for making decorations, jewellery and functional items.
Preparing Reslin resin and curing itself take place in the oven at temperatures up to 120 °C. A regular kitchen oven can be safely used for this. First, both components need to be heated for 20 minutes at 60 °C (you can heat the oil and activator directly in their original containers during this step), then mix them together. After pouring into the mould, leave the product at room temperature for approximately 20 minutes. Next comes baking for 20 minutes at 90 °C, followed by a gradual increase in temperature to 120 °C for a further 20 minutes (without removing the product from the oven in between). Never use a microwave oven when working with Reslin.
Without the use of dyes and powders it has a natural colouring in golden to brown tones, but retains its translucency just like crystal resin. When decorating Reslin® resin, we recommend using colours, powders and glitter designed specifically for this type of resin. For further decoration, you may also find resin decorations useful, such as Jesmonite GlassRoxx glass stones. However, you can also decorate your creations with glass beads or various natural materials, such as seeds, petals, dried flowers and similar. When using natural materials, we always recommend testing their behaviour on a small sample first.
Pack contains: 500 g of oil and 250 g of activator (hardener). Specific instructions can be found on the product packaging.
Every Reslin® product is the result of careful development and testing with an emphasis on quality.
