The most significant deposit of the Super 7 mineral is the Brazilian mines in the Minas Gerais region. It cannot be ruled out that this mineral also occurs in other locations.

In nature, Super 7 occurs in the form of individual crystals of various shapes, such as needles, prisms or columns. Crystal clusters, druses, cushions and fragments are also common. Natural Super 7 mineral has very strong reported properties. It is used across many fields around the world. On the Mohs hardness scale it corresponds to 7–8.

The history of this mineral only began in the 20th century, when it was discovered during amethyst mining in Brazilian mines. It is also known by another name, Melody Stone, after the well-known gemstone author and expert Melody, who first described it in her book Love is in the Earth: A Kaleidoscope of Crystals. Thanks to these writings, Super 7 became better known and sought after among collectors and gemstone lovers.
