How does diamond painting work?

On the adhesive base, the individual colours to be used are marked with numbers or letters. The bags of rhinestones (or "diamonds") of the corresponding colour are marked in the same way. Everything is also listed in the enclosed legend. There's no need to worry about running short of rhinestones — packs always contain slightly more than you need. Another important tool is the applicator, whose tip you can dip in a little wax so the rhinestones stick securely in the applicator, letting you place them exactly where they belong. You may also find tweezers useful for crafting (you could also try tweezers with LED lighting) and a shallow dish or tray for the rhinestones, so the work goes smoothly.

Given the size of the rhinestones, crafting should always take place under adult supervision. Diamond painting is not suitable for children under 3 years old.

Tip: Once the piece is finished, don't forget to press the rhinestones down evenly onto the base (for example with a book or a board) to make sure they're all stuck on equally well.
