Stainless steel wire 0.2 mm/50 g is popular for its hypoallergenic properties in jewellery making. Stainless steel wire is soft, pliable and suitable for various wire-wrapping techniques. Thanks to its properties and quality workmanship, it is particularly suitable for modelling, wire bending, floristry, jewellery wirework, wire wrapping or various other DIY projects.

This wire is also suitable for soldering, although working with it can be somewhat more difficult than with wires made from other materials. Stainless steel has a high melting point and is fairly resistant to oxidation, which makes it harder for solder to adhere properly. To solder this wire, you will most likely need a special flux designed for stainless steel.

These wires are not suitable for making standalone jewellery findings or wire bases for Christmas stars. When working with wire, you may also find wire-wrapping boards or jewellery pliers useful.
