Nylon satin cord

Nylon satin cord is made from soft nylon, it’s very strong when pulled and it has low elasticity. Thanks to that, it’s mainly used as a threading material for making nursing beads for mommies, because it allows babies to tug on the beads however they want and play with them. It’s also used for making dummy chains and stroller chains. These are also often made from silicone or wooden beads with various designs, in various shapes or with letters that can spell a baby’s name. Due to its surface finish, this nylon satin cord is very soft and shiny and feels comfortable on skin, if you want to also use it for other techniques. For nursing necklaces, it’s most often used in combination with a plastic box clasp into which you can hide the knots on the cord. After snapping it shut, the clasp holds really well.
