"Listen to your inner voice and intuition, lapis lazuli will reportedly help you."

Symbolism and healing properties of lapis lazuli:

Lapis lazuli (lapis lazuli 2A) is associated with spiritual growth and higher consciousness. It reportedly helps in the search for truth and wisdom. Its colour is a very intense, vivid, deep blue with lighter azure tones and darker patches or gold, white or black streaks. It is traditionally linked to Isis, the Egyptian goddess of magic, fertility, protection and healing, as she had a close relationship with the heavens, and it is thus still associated with the colour blue today. Because of its reported protective properties, this gemstone is considered a strongly protective stone. In astrology it is said to ward off negative thoughts.

People also seek it out for its reported positive effects on communication, where it is said to help one express oneself and communicate with others. It reportedly helps with opening up. It is said to make it easier to express one's thoughts. In alternative medicine it is used to reduce stress and relieve anxiety. It also tends to be associated with supporting intuition and perceptiveness, reportedly making it easier for its wearer to listen to their inner voice and intuition.

Lapis lazuli is suitable for these zodiac signs:

Sagittarius (23 November – 21 December), Aquarius (21 January – 20 February) and Pisces (21 February – 20 March)

Localities, forms of lapis lazuli and history:

Historically, the most significant locality is Afghanistan. Lapis lazuli has been mined in Afghanistan for more than 1,000 years. Other significant localities include Chile, Russia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Tajikistan and some areas of the USA.

In nature, lapis lazuli occurs in the form of rock, namely as massive blocks or lumps of various sizes, which are then further worked. In such natural stone the properties are said to be at their strongest. On the Mohs hardness scale it corresponds to a hardness of 5.5.

Lapis lazuli was already a very popular gemstone in the past, namely in ancient Egypt. It was used above all in art and jewellery-making. It was used to make amulets and for the tombs of the pharaohs. The ancient Sumerians and Mesopotamians used it to make statues and seals. They considered it a symbol of wealth and power. It was much the same in ancient Greece and Rome, where jewellery was made from it.

that in history it was believed lapis lazuli was connected to the stars and the heavens, and that ancient peoples, such as the Sumerians, believed it had a cosmic nature and contained the power of the heavens? That is why they made cylinder seals decorated with motifs of stars, planets and cosmic phenomena.
