Jesmonite is a casting clay that is an interesting and ecological alternative to crystal resin. It’s a composite material that is a combination of a powder reactive mineral base and a liquid acrylic water-based resin. It results in products the look of which resembles gypsum or concrete. The material is opaque and you can easily dye it using Jesmonite pigments. It’s lightweight, solid and non-flammable. You can take a product out of a mould after as little as a couple of tens of minutes. The setting time depends on the size of the mould and thickness of the material used. Product reaches its full strength after 24+ hours.
