The history of red jasper goes back thousands of years. It was very popular among the ancient Egyptians, who used it for its protective properties, especially against negative forces and evil spirits. They made amulets, seals and jewellery from it. The Romans regarded it as a symbol of power and strength. The ancient Chinese associated it with sacred deities and spiritual beliefs.
