Felt is a flat decorative non-woven fabric made from 100% polyester. It’s made using the pressing or felting technique when fibres are tangled together during a wet process. However, this technique is almost never used these days. Another technique is needle felting where fibres are tangled together using a special needle during a dry process. Felt can be washed at up to 30 °C on a delicate program and ironed on the 1. mode - lukewarm ironing. We offer two thickness variants, 1 mm (140 g/m2) a 3 mm (500 g/m2) and more than 15 colours. Felt became very popular in macramé where it’s used as a base glued on the knotted products.
