In nature, bronzite is found in the form of crystals with prismatic or tabular shapes of various sizes, as grains, plates or ring-like formations. The properties of natural bronzite are reportedly very strong. These minerals are thus used across various fields around the world. On the Mohs hardness scale, bronzite corresponds to 5.5–6.

The history of bronzite goes back into the distant past. It was already known to the ancient Egyptians, who used it to make statues, figurines and amulets. In ancient Greece and Rome it was considered a protective stone believed to have magical and healing properties, which is why it was worn as a talisman during various rituals. Today, bronzite is very popular in the jewellery industry.
